How do I get to Wesley?

Wesley UMC is located at 3409 Ajax Road in St. Joseph on the corner of Ajax and Pear Road. Depending on where you are coming from, you can arrive at Wesley traveling south on Pickett road. If arriving from the Belt Highway, Wesley UMC is located west of the Belt. When you arrive, most patrons enter the church from the parking lot area on the north, south and west sides of the building. Once there, greeters will be there to welcome and help you.

How big is your church?

Typically between both services, Wesley UMC averages around 200 people each Sunday. This figure fluctuates with season and can be significantly increased on major church holidays.

What is available at Wesley for me?

Wesley UMC is a congregation comprised of families and retired adults. We have two morning services, 8:15 and 10:45 AM; the 8:15 AM service is a traditional worship service, while our 10:45 AM service is traditional with contemporary worship included. We encourage members and visitors to “come as you are” in regards to attire with both suits and jeans being common in our worship settings. We have children and youth ministries to foster faith formation from infancy through high school. Wesley UMC includes a special time for the children during the service where they get to interact with the Pastor and have a fun little Bible lesson. We provide a nursery for children birth-5 years-old!  The nursery is located right outside of the sanctuary and we have trained staff who teach the children.  While in the nursery they play and complete age-appropriate crafts. Wesley UMC is also home to a variety of ministry, service and fellowship opportunities designed to grow your faith and enrich your life.
If you need a ride to church, we offer a bus ministry for the second service. Please call the church office at 816-279-7808 for more information.
